Karma Legal Consultancy founded by me, Victoria Smith, a solicitor with over 25 years' experience in corporate and commercial law. I spent eight years in private practice before moving into senior in-house leadership roles as Head of Corporate Legal and later Chief Compliance Officer. That means I've advised from both perspectives - as an external lawyer and as an in-house adviser to executive teams and boards responsible for making commercial decisions and dealing with business risk.
I know what businesses need from their legal adviser. I also know what it feels like to be the person trying to get a deal over the line, resolve a dispute or navigate a difficult situation without it consuming valuable time and energy. That experience shapes everything about how I work.
I founded Karma Legal Consultancy to offer something different: senior legal expertise delivered personally, without the overhead or formality of a traditional law firm. No layers of process. Just clear, commercially focused advice from someone who has seen most situations before and knows how to find practical solutions.
I advise businesses and individuals on commercial contracts, business sales and acquisitions, shareholder matters, corporate governance and commercial disputes. The work varies, but my approach doesn't. I take the time to understand what you're trying to achieve, identify the legal and commercial risks and give you a clear, pragmatic view of your options so you can move forward with confidence.
